hypnotherapy for authenticity, presence, and creative freedom
Welcome to Thought Compass. I’m here to help you explore the unhelpful thought patterns that may be holding you back. Using cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy I’ll guide you to tackle performance anxiety, imposter syndrome, self-doubt and social anxiety in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
How would it be to understand your mind little better – and have the tools to change it?
Who I work with
I specialise in guiding performers, creatives, and LGBTQ+ professionals through imposter thoughts, performance anxiety, and inherited scripts that keep you stuck in roles you never auditioned for.
Whether on stage or in daily life, I help you reconnect with your authentic voice and move through life with a deeper sense of agency and belonging.
For Actors & Performers
When the spotlight hits, why does your presence disappear? Discover how cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy can help you transform performance anxiety, defeat the inner critic, and reclaim your authentic presence on stage and in the audition room.

Every crossroads brings possibilities, but the right choice is the one that feels true to you.
Whether you’re facing uncertainty, overcoming self-doubt, or navigating the pressures of life, I can help you uncover the clarity and confidence you need to move forward.
Together, we’ll explore the crossroads before you, rewrite limiting scripts, and chart a course that aligns with your authentic voice and deepest values. The spotlight awaits—let’s ensure you’re fully present when it finds you
What I can support you with
Thought Compass offers online cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and stress management coaching for adults. I work with issues such as performance anxiety, audition nerves, imposter thoughts, self-doubt, stress, confidence, social anxiety, shame, habit change and resilience building.
My work is collaborative and practical, drawing on cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, stress management, resilience building and CBT-based strategies. It is not a substitute for emergency support, medical treatment, diagnosis or psychiatric care.
If your needs fall outside my scope of practice, I will discuss this with you openly and, where appropriate, suggest that you contact your GP, NHS 111, a crisis team, or another suitably qualified professional.

What was evident throughout was Gavin’s ability to be positive when it was needed and to see the bigger picture when I was obsessing on finer details and what I considered to be a lack of progress (it wasn’t, it was just my inability to see it). Gavin gave positive feedback throughout and listened intently and was able to see a path through it and how to turn it into a plan for progress.
